Job Title: Senior Geophysicist - Onshore

The Opportunity:
As the Senior Geophysicist you will predominately be involved and responsible for the quality control, interpretation and analysis of marine geophysical data, geohazard assessment and the integration of geophysical, environmental and geotechnical data.
With a focus on the generation of client deliverables, you will work as part of the onshore processing team, taking the lead on certain aspects of projects, supervising less-experienced geophysicists and reporting to the Lead Geophysicist. You will also be expected to communicate with external clients on project-related matters.
As part of the role there will also be occasional opportunities to work offshore on our dedicated survey vessels.
Main Responsibilities
- Quality control of geophysical survey data.
- Processing and interpretation of geophysical survey data, including side scan sonar, magnetometer, sub-bottom profiler and 2D UHR seismic.
- Maintain accurate QC and interpretation logs and take responsibility for the organisation and management of large datasets.
- Produce data deliverables to client specifications.
- Write geophysical results reports and finalise field and operations reports.
- Manage time and resources required to meet interpretation and reporting deadlines for each project.
- Maintain good communications with the wider project team and clients regarding interpretation schedules and preliminary findings in order to aid project planning.
- Help to produce department procedures and documentation.
- Provide technical input into the development of machine learning tools for data processing and interpretations.
- Assist tendering team with technical submissions for geophysical surveys.
- Fill in as QC geophysicist offshore or remote USV geophysicist on occasion as required

- Survey / Hydrographic / Ocean Science / Data related degree
- Extensive experience in a similar or equivalent role
