The Opportunity:
As a Subsea Robotics Project Manager, you will be at the forefront of delivering ground-breaking ROV and AUV capabilities, ensuring seamless integration of new innovative assets and solutions into our operational activities. Main Responsibilities
Project Leadership:
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of ROV and AUV innovation projects, from inception to handover to operational teams.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Manage and report on the projects safety, time, cost and quality objectives in line with agreed framework.
Technical Oversight:
- Provide technical leadership and expertise in subsea robotics, ensuring that project activities are executed in accordance with company approved processes and procedures, the contract, OEM and suppliers procedures, relevant certifying authority requirements, applicable legislation and industry standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and development teams to refine and enhance ROV and AUV capabilities.
Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, including clients, OEM and suppliers, and internal teams.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication and alignment of project goals.
- Produce and deliver regular updates and reports in line with agreed communication matrix, including key performance measure updates to Senior Management.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
- Ensure the application of thorough risk and issue management across the lifecycle of projects.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement robust quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality subsea robotics systems.
- Manage change and capture variations relating to specification and schedules, throughout all phases.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of ROV and AUV systems prior to handover / operational readiness.
Team Coordination:
- Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
You should apply if you have:
Essential:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, marine science, project management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in ROV/AUV project management within the marine, offshore, or renewable energy sectors.
- Proficiency in marine engineering principles, autonomous systems, and project management tools. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
- Willingness to travel internationally and adapt to varying project demands.
