Description
As a Field Engineer at Ocean Charge, you are the frontline representative of the brand, connecting both residential and commercial customers to our advanced EV charging solutions. This role requires a dynamic individual who can not only perform technical tasks like inspections, maintenance, and upgrades but also help customers understand and optimally use our services.
Key Responsibilities
Installation and Connection: Perform installations and connect customers to the Ocean Charge network, ensuring adherence to technical standards and safety regulations.
Customer Support: Educate and assist customers in understanding how to use our charging services and solutions, enhancing their overall experience.
Maintenance and Inspection: Conduct regular inspections and routine maintenance of charging infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Upgrades: Upgrade existing infrastructure as needed to meet the evolving demands of the network and technology advancements.
Fault Resolution: Attend to and resolve faults promptly, minimizing downtime and maintaining high service standards.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Technical Proficiency: Skilled in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of EV charging systems and related electrical infrastructure.

Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure installations and maintenance are performed accurately and safely.
Physical Fitness: Capable of performing physically demanding tasks and working in various outdoor conditions.
Time Management: Efficient management of time to handle multiple tasks and appointments daily.
Requirements
Educational Background: Technical diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related fields.
Professional Experience: At least 2 years of experience in field engineering, preferably in EV charging systems or similar technologies.
Certifications: Relevant certifications in electrical installation and safety (e.g., 17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations).
Driving License: Valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively across the region.
Customer Service Skills: Experience in a customer-facing role is highly advantageous.
