Fast-paced and growing B2B platform seeking qualified, driven, and energetic candidates to join the team as a Sales Operations Manager. Oceanworks is seeking candidates with hustle, scrappiness, and a passion for helping customers push through hurdles to the adoption of new, sustainable programs and initiatives.
The Manager will report to the Vice President of Sales + Partnerships and will be responsible for accelerating program development timelines, reducing iterations, and driving customer success with strategic accounts. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with customer-facing conversations and communicating customer needs to the Oceanworks team. Expect to engage with brand owners across Industrial, Durable Finished Goods, Outdoor/Lifestyle and CPG sectors. Your goal is to make the continued adoption of Oceanworks products easy for the customer. You will focus on fast response times and technical excellence in the plastic pollution space to ensure successful program rollouts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Participate in sales discussions on phone and video. Travel and meet customers and prospective customers when appropriate.
- Establish deep knowledge of the Oceanworks product portfolio and address questions from customers.
- Gather and produce necessary documentation for customers.
- Drive partnerships.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience (3+ years) if the below items are satisfied.
- Proficiency with cloud softwares preferred (Shopify, Dropbox, Gdrive, AirTable, etc.)
- At least one past sales experience - or - The ability to demonstrate several times you overcame an obstacle/barrier.
- Comfortable in an office setting.
- Able to travel domestically or internationally up to 1-week / quarter
- Off-hours meetings are periodically required for consultation with global partners.
